SuperServer Idea

Tired of seeing 50 different servers on the server list? Want to see the close-knit JK2 community compacted even more so?

Your problems can be solved with my idea! Someone should host a server (mod to be determined) always on the Expedition map where each clan has its own official room or section, labeled with the Bespin Clientside letters of that clan's abbreviation above the entrance to that particular section.

This way, all the clans can hang out at once on this "superserver" AND work out their differences and fight amongst each other or ally with each other (as JK2 MP was intended to be played) all at once!

I have not put very much time yet into researching this idea, but if anyone out there likes any part of the idea, I am definitely open to contributions.

-Not everybody has Expedition. You'd need a default map (perhaps a modded map like CA Bespin if you want more space)
-No safe way to administrate it. You can't give admin to the clan members, there would be inter-clan admin wars, not to mention trusts issues giving out admins. You can't just not have admins, as the whole point of clans getting their own server is for the admin.
-A jk2 server cannot exceed 32 players. JK2 may be dying, but we still have more than 32 players globally online most of the time.
-To be able to add letters for every new clan and remove for the dead clans, you need a mod like Twifire - and Twiffy is currently the only of it's kind that is also available to the public.


Oh and great to see you can't counter anything I said in your PM and your other topic. I'll assume you fully agree with my points in both.

Anywho, it took me awhile to reply to your PM. Also, I just like to think up ideas and write off the top of my head. I play these computer games to escape having to think. If I am required to think while playing JK2, my brain goes on overload from all the thinking I have to do in RL and explodes utterly.
