Ehhhhhhh.

He's done some good things for the clan, and he's been a total dickwad and would likely continue to be a total dickwad.

Ehhhhhhh...not really sure whether he's worth a chance or not. I think the thing I'd be most likely to go for would be another chance but with big changes for him behavior-wise and restrictions. Those restrictions would have to stick if he quits due to them, as well.

Also remember that it's possible that he can read all of this with his hacker friend-who-seems-to-not-be-under-monkey's-control. I don't like that, of course, but not much else possible with this forum.

I am now back from my awesome skiing trip.
My opinion is rather Yes then No, but i also agree with Dudeman. He might have done good things for AoF, he is hosting, twifire-ing,contentpack-ing and other skills. BUT he really should radically change the way he treats other people, because there i have to say he lacks some important features. So i agree with Leo & Dudeman

Alright, so it's pretty much clear that we've come to the decision that we'll let him in, right?

With that decided, we need some restrictions. We can't just say "oh let's restrict him" and then not do anything.

It's obvious that the way he treats people...leaves many things to be desired. It's also obvious that his negative reputation would be a hindrance to AoF's general relationship with other clans in JK2.

We need to tell him that he can't continue treating other people in the dickish way he's been treating them. He's got to be nice and respectful, or bust. Him being the server owner puts him in an interesting position, though, and we need to think on that.

Keep in mind, last time we restricted his admin he just used his other account.

So we tell him that he needs to work on being kinder, not only within AoF, but other clans as well, since that is a main concern (clan relations) that Prov mentioned. So lets make a list:

*Attitude change
*No clan hostilities
*Less abuse of power on server (using correct admin level)

Lets be honest, he uses his Lvl 42 or whatever account when we're gone, nothing we can do to stop it.

I just thought that when you said restrictions wont be much prosperous...and since we all agreed that rather attitude changes would be more on place then trying to restrict somewhere where it may not be needed or working...

He could potentially choose to stop making cool upgrades to our server. Or he could stop hosting, and hosting is a pain in the ass. Honestly, it's time to start taking control. We're in charge, not monkey. The less power we give, the less it affects us. HOWEVER, TRY (OR ATTEMPT etc.) to at least be kind to him, its the reason he left the last time.

Leo has a point about taking control, but it's not simply because I want to control things that I want monkey in AoF (not saying that's the reason you do, Leo.).

I just want his behavior to be better, towards everybody and not just towards us (us being the leaders of AoF). When I mentioned restrictions, what I meant was that I merely want his behavior restricted. He has great power, and I'd like him to act responsible with it. Another thing I mentioned was our reputation with other clans. Since most other clans totally ignore us, and AGoF only slightly has a relationship with us, I want to make sure that him joining wouldn't hurt our relationship with AGoF or make things worse with us for any other clans.

Another reason that I want him to join is that I'm tired of him participating in AoF-y things without being an actual AoF member. It just feels wrong to have him in the Skype chat, have (mostly) full access to our forum, and tell other members of AoF what to do without actually being in the clan.

So, here's what I propose: We let him into the clan, but tell him to be nicer to everyone. Of course, we can't tell him not to be a dick and then be mean to him. We'll have to take attempts to be nice, or at least cordial, as well...especially me, because monkey and I don't seem to get along very much these days.

I'm just thinking that it might be better publicly if Yoda, Leo or I did it, to avoid making it look like it's the Mentor that makes all the decisions. I think that's probably what it looks like. It might be a good idea for one of the council members to make the post, but I know that your skills as an orator exceed mine. I'd like to see what you'd say, for future reference.
