McMonkey, Can you offer some insight as to why amsupershield and amsupersentry do not work in this mod?
Were the commands changed? They show up as unknown commands for me, logged in as full admin.

They never worked how they were supposed to and I didn't want barely working glitch ents so I commented out the commands. If you really want them back to edit the source code and uncomment then - I'm pretty sure none of it's actually deleted.


They were replaced by mc_tsent:
/ammap_place mc_tsent X Y Z reaction,kill,group,user:Shady]user:mcmonkey]adminrank:5],
Automatically kills everyone in the room except shady, mcmonkey, and level 5 or higher admins.
if you want to use the old shield/sentry groups:
group,group:3],
That would let in any who's in the group 'Members of group 3' or whatever you change mc_group3_name to.

HEY NUBS

Twiffy v1005 needs MOAR NEW STUFF

Think: Everyone needs 'teachers' and 'help' learning mapmodding ... but I was hoping it would be so easy any nub could figure it out without help.
How can I make this so? How do I make mapmodding easier?

Please post any ideas you have, even if you don't believe it'll help.

I've been inspired for Twiffy additions by SteveBing and Baz before, something you think is silly and stupid is actually a step up for my Twiffy idea standard.

This may be something a) stupid(depends on how you look at it) and b) might not work.
Anyways, I was looking for something that i came across by accidently. I wanted to show yoda what that thing was, tho i could not remember if it was an effect or a texture(stupidity at its finest ik). So i was thinking, why not have something simmilar to Ctrl + F (search/find)?
So that if you type for example "light" it will give you all results containing light. I think this is good cuz if you dont remember the exact thread you can just search for it like that and bam. Tho as i said before idk if this is possible to do..

I think that may be good idea, something like /amfind modelname which returns e.g. /dirs where u can find modelname containing phrase u put in
Dunno what u will think mc, sry if this is stupid idea

Two new Twiffy additions:

First: 'all' parameter in ents. This is like bygroup or byclass, except it's every valid entity in the map.
Second: /ammap_search <entities> <string> added

Used like - /ammap_search all fire -- shows you the trace for every entity that has "fire" in it's trace (env/fire effects, env/small_fire effects, etc)

Twifire v1005 will be released eventually, and I need epic screenshots for it!

So I challenge ye AoFers and AoF-forum-goers to take the most epic displays of Twifire inaction
Beautiful remakes of default maps, epic login scripts, a deadly amassassination...
Any screenshots that are pure epicness (the epicness created by TWIFIRE not default JK2) should be submitted!

Best screeny submitters get... their screenshots publicly posted... and a mention in the credits somewhere...

/shaderlist shows every texture being used on the map?


Anything which can help me to detect texture, implies on the map and not ents?
Like I want to get the texture of a temple wall but I am to lazy to open up the directory and try every shader.....so any command can be made which would give you the texture of the specified map area?

Yes, I think its a great idea. It would be less of a pain to amshader walls and floors etc.And we can also use that to find like for say, textures for x_wings and for other things I've tried to amshader but cannot think of them at the moment.

Something like /ammap_nearby but for shaders and not for ents...?
(ammap_search searches for used ents on map ... is it possible to make e.g. ammap_search2 which searches for shaders used on map or specific area?)
